The RoseMary Inn is not just a B&B for your New Jersey accommodations; it celebrates family, friendship, and roots. The name honors the decades-long relationship of our mothers, Rose Zachko and Mary Hahn. Inseparable best friends, their lives and families have intertwined for more than 70 years.
Members of our families lived in Warren County as early as 1930. In 1954, both Rose and Mary -- now Rose Washburn and Mary Westervelt -- relocated our households to Blairstown, the home of Mary's husband, Jack.
Over the years, our families – now numbering upwards of 40 - have shared countless memories. Each room, all of which bear one of our family surnames, invites you to share in those memories through our photo gallery hung throughout the Inn.
The redesign and renovation of The RoseMary Inn, opened in January 2008, was also an extended family affair. Family created much of the artwork – pieces of pottery, watercolors, and oil paintings. A niece painted the interior. A nephew landscaped. Two different brothers helped in construction. A brother and sister-in-law cleared pastureland for the horses. Others painted barns, donated furnishings, and supported us financially or emotionally - all to help make this dream of a gracious bed and breakfast become a reality.
We invite you to join our extended family by making the Inn your Poconos lodging choice, to share in our many fond memories, and to create new ones of your own.
Welcome to our home,
Theo and Elaine Nagelmakers
Proud owners and great friends
